Police seek suspect in robbery of Henderson jewelry store

Henderson Police are trying to identify a suspect in the armed robbery of a jewelry store Wednesday night at the Galleria at Sunset mall.

The man went into Gordon’s Jewelers about 9 p.m. and asked to see some jewelry, police said. When a clerked opened the case, the man pulled out a black handgun and demanded more jewelry, police said.

The clerk gave the man an undisclosed amount of jewelry and left the mall through the south doors, police said. He was seen getting into a waiting silver/gray sport utility vehicle, police said.

The suspect was described as black with short hair, about 30 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall and about 150 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket, light blue jeans with tears in the knees, white athletic shoes and a red Chicago hat, police said.
