A man is dead after a shooting in the northeast valley Thursday night, Metro Police said.
Officers responded about 11 p.m. to a report of a shooting in the 4100 block of East Cheyenne Avenue, near Las Vegas Boulevard North, Officer Larry Hadfield said.
They found a deceased man in his mid-20s suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, Hadfield said.
He was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The man was walking in the area at the time he was shot, police said.
No arrests have been made, and no additional details were available.
