A man was shot this afternoon near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Washington Avenue, according to Metro Police.
Officers were called about 1:50 p.m. to the 1000 block of Cunningham Drive, Officer Larry Hadfield said.
One man who suffered gunshot wounds was transported to University Medical Center with injuries that appear nonlife-threatening, Hadfield said.
No suspects are in custody, he said.
Metro's gang unit is on scene, Lt. Nick Farese said.
