A man was arrested this afternoon after nearly running a vehicle into a Smith's grocery store in the western valley, Metro Police said.
Police were called about 1:10 p.m. to the grocery store at 8555 W. Sahara Ave., near Durango Drive, where there was reportedly a drunken driver in the parking lot, Officer Larry Hadfield said.
The man almost drove into the store, and when police arrived on scene, he was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence, Hadfield said.
He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center, Hadfield said.
No injuries or damage were reported, he said.
