Henderson Police say officers issued more than 270 tickets and arrested seven drivers on DUI counts in a recent 18-day enforcement effort.
Officers looking for impaired drivers wrote 272 citations during 224 traffic stops between Oct. 16 and Nov. 2, according to Henderson Police.
Saturation patrols — in which officer presence is concentrated in a small area — resulted in 92 speeding tickets and nine citations for running a red light, police said.
The effort was part of the 2016 Joining Forces program, police said.
The program received $200,400 in federal funding through the Nevada Department of Public Safety’s Office of Traffic Safety for traffic law enforcement and education, according to police.
