Worker burned in flash fire at Henderson plant

A worker at a Henderson plant suffered serious burns today after a diesel fuel flash fire, according to the Henderson Fire Department.

Fire crews were called about 1:45 p.m. to Las Vegas Paving Corp., near West Warm Springs and Eastgate roads, spokeswoman Kathleen Richards said.

The man was handling equipment when it caught fire, she said. He was taken to University Medical Center, she said.

No other injuries were reported, and no buildings caught fire, Richards said.
