Man sought in armed robbery of convenience store near Rancho, Decatur

Suspect

This man robbed a convenience store near Rancho Drive and Decatur Boulevard in October.

Metro Police are looking for a man they say robbed a convenience store near Rancho Drive and Decatur Boulevard last month.

The man entered the store near the 3000 block of North Rancho Drive on Oct. 27 with a black, semiautomatic handgun, police said.

He pointed the weapon at employees and took an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

In surveillance video, the man can be seen entering the store and pointing the gun at a worker, who backs up with his hands up. A second worker gives the suspect the money, and the suspect runs from the store.

Police described the suspect as a heavyset man in his 20s standing about 5-feet-8-inches tall.

He was wearing a hooded jacket and dark pants.
