Man dead after shooting at east valley apartment complex

A man was shot to death Thursday afternoon at an east valley apartment complex, according to Metro Police.

Officers responded about 4:15 p.m. to the 4800 block of East Sahara Avenue, near South Nellis Boulevard, after receiving multiple reports about gunshots, police said. They found a man inside an apartment suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, police said.

The man, whose name has not yet been released, was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The man was outside the apartment building when the shooting occurred, then ran inside and collapsed, police said.

No suspects have been identified, and the motive is unknown, police said.
