Tropicana Avenue was blocked off from Polaris Avenue to Valley View Boulevard this afternoon as the Metro Police bomb squad investigated a suspicious package found in a newspaper stand.
The package turned out to be harmless, police said. Roads were closed for nearly two hours and reopened at 3:24 p.m., according to an alert from the Regional Transportation Commission.
