Woman’s body found outside Las Vegas apartments

Metro Police say a woman's body was found lying face-down in a pool of blood outside Sky Pointe landing apartments.

Neighbors called the police after finding the body Sunday afternoon.

The woman has been identified as Keandra Atkins, 31, of Las Vegas, according to the Clark County Coroner's Office.

Lt. Dan McGrath says the police think the death is suspicious because she was found dead outside and apparently doesn't live in the immediate area.

Investigators say there was a partial trail of blood from a black SUV to the building where Atkins' body was found.

Police say it's not clear whether she was stabbed or shot to death, and no weapons were found at the scene. The cause and manner of death have not yet been released by the Coroner's Office.
