Clark County inmate, 50, dies at hospital; cause unknown

A 50-year-old Clark County inmate died Saturday at Centennial Hills Hospital, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections.

Also according to the DOC:

Michael Loewen, 50, was serving one to three years for grand larceny. He had been imprisoned since March 20.

It is unclear why Loewen was hospitalized and how he died. The Clark County Coroner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
