Plane lands safely after reporting possible braking, steering problem

A United Airlines flight from Chicago to Las Vegas made an emergency landing today at McCarran International Airport after reporting a possible braking and steering issue, an airport spokeswoman said.

The crew of United Flight 519 reported the concerns about 2 p.m., and the Airbus A320 landed about 10 minutes later, McCarran spokeswoman Christine Crews said. The plane, which was towed to the gate, will be inspected to see if there were any issues, she said.

No injuries were reported on the plane, which had 157 passengers aboard, she said.
