Body found in rural Utah might be missing Nevada resident’s

Authorities say a body was found in a remote area of southwest Utah and may be that of a missing person from Nevada.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office says a person moving cattle southwest of Enterprise discovered human remains Friday afternoon.

Deputies responded to the area, about 9 miles southwest of the Enterprise Reservoir, and found a vehicle with out-of-state license plates nearby.

Sgt. David Crouse says it appears the vehicle was involved in some kind of accident.

The remains have tentatively been identified as those of someone who was reported missing in Las Vegas.

Crouse says the local Medical Examiner's Office will do a final identification.

He did not release the victim's identity pending notification of next of kin.
