FALLON — Authorities say a South Lake Tahoe police officer was one of three people who died in a rollover crash in Churchill County.
The sheriff's office says 42-year-old Officer Mark Hounsell, his 34-year-old wife, Jeanne Hounsell of Minden, and 33-year-old Laura Fisher of Washington, Illinois died Saturday in the single-car collision on U.S. 50 near Fallon.
Four children, ages 4 to 14, were transported to hospitals and are expected to recover.
Nevada Highway Patrol is still investigating what caused the 2004 Chevrolet to crash.
