A 53-year-old man who died after crashing a pickup truck into a block wall Saturday evening near Arville Street and West Desert Inn Road has been identified as Las Vegas resident Richard Robert Pacheco, according to the Clark County Coroner's Office.
Pacheco was driving a 2005 Nissan Titan west on Desert Inn near South Myrtle Avenue with an 11-year-old passenger when he traveled over a curb and sidewalk, according to Metro Police.
The right front of the truck hit the wall, and Pacheco was taken to Spring Valley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The child wasn't injured, police said.
Police say Pacheco may have suffered a medical episode, but his official cause of death has not yet been released by the Clark County Coroner's Office.
