A pedestrian in a wheelchair was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Lake Mead and Jones boulevards this afternoon, according to Metro Police.
Police were called about 5:20 p.m. to the scene of the accident with injury, Lt. Jeff Goodwin said.
The pedestrian, an adult whose gender was not immediately available, was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries not believed to be life threatening, he said.
The vehicle remained on scene, and the accident remains under investigation, he said.
