Male exposes himself to girl near middle school

Area of incident

A male exposed himself to a 7th-grade girl as she walked to school this morning near North Valley View Boulevard and West Washington Avenue, according to a Clark County School District spokesman.

Police were called about 7:30 a.m. to Robert O. Gibson Middle School after a male of unknown age exposed himself to the student in the area of Pyramid Drive and Turquoise Road, Metro Police Officer Jesse Roybal said.

The girl ran away and reported the incident at the school, less than a mile away, Clark County School District spokesman David Roddy said.

It happened before the school’s start time of about 8 a.m., so the school was not locked down, he said.

Police are looking for the male, Roybal said. No description was immediately available.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
