Man, 32, arrested in robbery of Henderson bank

A 32-year-old man was tracked down and arrested Tuesday in the robbery of a U.S. Bank branch less than two hours earlier, according to Henderson Police.

Police found Michael Haley of Henderson hiding behind a shed behind a house near Warm Springs Road and Valle Verde Drive, police said.

A man entered the bank at 4550 East Sunset Road about 5 p.m. and demanded money from a teller before fleeing on foot, police said. He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

Henderson and Metro police officers tracked the suspect, and nobody was injured in the arrest, police said.

Haley was booked at the Henderson Detention Center on counts of robbery with a deadly weapon and burglary, according to Henderson Police. No details were released about the kind of weapon used in the robbery.
