Nevada politicians hit parade circuit for Labor Day weekend

WINNEMUCCA, Nev. (AP) — Nevada elected officials are filling up their calendars for the Labor Day weekend.

Gov. Brian Sandoval is planning to attend a fair and a parade in Winnemucca on Saturday, then attend a Labor Day pancake breakfast and parade in Fallon on Monday. Republican Sen. Dean Heller is scheduled to attend the same events.

Republican Rep. Joe Heck, who's running for U.S. Senate, is attending the Winnemucca parade on Saturday, a rib cook-off in Sparks on Sunday and Labor Day festivities in Fallon on Monday.

Union groups from around the state say they'll be attending the Virginia City Labor Day Parade on Monday.
