The 19-year-old Las Vegas man who was killed in a suspected DUI crash Saturday has been identified as Alvin Davis Jr.
According to Metro Police:
Marc Fernandez, 40, of Las Vegas was driving a 2003 Ford Explorer north on South Buffalo Drive and tried to turn left at West Badura Avenue. He was struck by a 2001 BMW driven by Davis.
Davis and his 17-year-old passenger were taken to UMC Trauma. Davis was pronounced dead; the teen suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Fernandez, who suffered minor injuries, was arrested on one count of driving under the influence resulting in death and one count of driving under the influence resulting on bodily harm.
The death marks the 69th traffic-related fatality Metro Police has investigated this year. The crash remains under investigation.
