Police: Woman arrested after shooting at husband, standoff

A woman was arrested after she fired a shot at her husband at a northwest valley house Sunday night and then refused to surrender for several hours, according to Metro Police.

Officers were called about 8:45 p.m. to the 7400 block of Hickory Hills Drive, near West Azure Drive and North Tenaya Way, Lt. David Gordon said.

No injuries were reported, but the woman refused to come out of the house, Gordon said.

SWAT and crisis negotiators were called, and residents of some nearby homes were evacuated, he said.

The woman eventually came out and was arrested on unspecified charges, he said.

The neighborhood, which had restricted access during the incident, was completely reopened by about 1:30 a.m. today, Gordon said.
