A woman was in critical condition early this morning after being shot east of the Las Vegas Strip, where a driver later hit a police vehicle in a separate incident, according to Metro Police.
Officers were called about 3 a.m. to the area near East Tropicana Avenue and Duke Ellington Way, according to Metro Police.
A woman was involved in an altercation with several people, one of whom shot her, Officer Jesse Roybal said.
She was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition, he said.
About two hours later, a Metro Police patrol vehicle at the scene was hit by a private vehicle, Roybal said.
It was not immediately clear how many people were hurt, but minor injuries were reported, he said.
