Fresh off a spirited debate in Southern California, Republicans Jeb Bush and Rand Paul hit the campaign trail in neighboring Nevada again Thursday in their bid for the GOP's 2016 presidential nomination.
Paul focused on foreign policy during a speech at the University of Nevada, Reno, following a morning meet-and-greet at a casino in Carson City, according to the Reno Gazette-Journal.
The Kentucky senator said Bush and Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton advocate similar policies in the Middle East, where he said he opposes sending U.S. troops to fight in a civil war that has been going on for 1,000 years.
"If you want to go back to war in Iraq, I'm not your guy," Paul said. He also planned stops later Thursday in Ely and Las Vegas.
Bush, the former Florida governor, scheduled a campaign rally for 3:45 p.m. outside Las Vegas at the Veterans Memorial Leisure Center in Summerlin.
Both tangled with billionaire Donald Trump during Wednesday night's debate at the Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California.
Rand said voters are getting tired of the former reality TV star's "silliness" and "sophomoric kind of jabs."
Bush said, "I can't figure the guy out."
