Nevada inmate, serving life for lewdness with minor, dies

CARSON CITY — Prison officials say a 59-year-old inmate serving life sentences for lewdness with a minor and failing to register as a sex offender died Monday at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center's medical facility.

The Nevada Department of Corrections said Tuesday that an autopsy would be conducted on Randy Richmond who had been imprisoned for 14 years.

The agency says Richmond had no family. Richmond's case stemmed from Washoe County.
