Nevada hopes to sell renewable energy products to China

CARSON CITY — Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval and five other governors have signed an agreement with Chinese officials that he hopes will result in the sale of renewable energy products to China.

The Clean Energy and Economic Development Accord coincides with the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to the United States.

“Nevada is considered a national leader in renewable energy development and innovation, and this accord provides us with the platform to introduce our advanced products to an international market,” Sandoval said.

Governors from California, Washington, Michigan Iowa and Oregon also signed the accord.
