A 14-year-old girl is in critical condition after being struck by a car in the southwest part of the valley Saturday night, according to Metro Police.
Also according to police:
At 8:48 p.m., a 2006 Kia Sorento SUV traveling in the westbound lane of Warm Springs Road, east of South Cimarron Road, struck the 14-year-old as she was crossing the road outside of a marked crosswalk.
The car stayed at the scene while the teenager was taken to University Medical Center.
The incident remains under investigation.
