Pedestrian, 84, hit by car, critically injured

The incident was reported about 5 a.m. on Robindale Road, west of Bower Drive, in the southeast valley. The man was walking in the road when he was struck by a car, police said.

He was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in critical condition.

The car was described as a black 2003-2007 Honda Accord, police said. It should have front-right damage and is missing a passenger-side mirror, police said.
