A Nevada Highway Patrol trooper was hospitalized as a precaution today after a four-vehicle crash in the south valley.
First responders were called shortly before 3 p.m. to Russell and Wynn roads, spokesman Trooper Jason Buratczuk said.
A man driving a Jeep Cherokee cut off the trooper on Russell, Buratczuk said. The trooper swerved in an effort to avoid crashing but struck the Jeep and hit a semitrailer waiting at a light. A Nissan Altima then struck the trooper's vehicle.
No major injuries were reported, and the Jeep's driver is considered at fault, Buratczuk said.
