An administrator with more than 20 years of experience at UNLV will take over the university’s largest college.
Chris Heavey, vice provost for undergraduate education, has been tapped to head UNLV’s College of Liberal Arts, according to the university.
Heavey previously worked as a psychology professor and associate dean in the liberal arts college, which has about 3,400 students in 11 different departments.
Heavey replaces Chris Hudgins, a 40-year veteran of the university who served as liberal arts dean since 2007. Hudgins is set to retire in December.
