Man armed with sword robs Carl’s Jr. restaurant

A man armed with a sword robbed a Carl’s Jr. fast-food restaurant early this morning at Flamingo Road and Eastern Avenue, according to Metro Police.

The incident happened about 2:50 a.m. at the hamburger joint in the 2300 block of Flamingo Road. The man, who had a sword that was 3 to 4 feet long, walked behind the counter and demanded money, police said.

The man, who appeared to be in his 20s, left the store on foot, police said. No further description was available, and no arrests have been made.
