Early morning fire displaces 6 people from home

Six people were displaced when their east valley home caught fire early this morning, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

Firefighters responded about 1:20 a.m. to the fire at 4520 Harmon Circle, near Harmon Avenue and Boulder Highway.

They put out the fire in less than 10 minutes, and everyone in the house escaped without injury, Deputy Fire Chief Jeff Buchanan said. A damage estimate was not immediately available.

Firefighters also extinguished a small fire this morning in an electrical room at an apartment complex near West Flamingo Road and Jones Boulevard, officials said.

The fire, reported at 2:15 a.m., was quickly extinguished, and nobody was hurt or displaced, Buchanan said.
