The Monte Carlo resort will be closing its pool, popular eatery The Pub and other outlets along its shopping area Street of Dreams for good on Oct. 3, according to MGM Resorts International.

The permanent closing of the venues will begin the $450 million transformation of the property that will result in two separate hotels — Park MGM and the NoMad Las Vegas.

The renovations, announced June 3 and expected to be completed by 2018, will include the 5,300-seat Park Theater, which will be located inside Park MGM — right next to the Park outside T-Mobile Arena.

The NoMad Las Vegas is another outpost of the Sydell Group’s NoMad Hotel in New York City and will feature the award-winning NoMad restaurant.

The project will complete MGM Resorts’ revitalization of the Strip cluster that includes CityCenter, T-Mobile Arena and the Park.

After Oct. 3, guests at Monte Carlo will be given access to pools at MGM’s sister properties.
