A pedestrian was hit by a car and killed in a marked crosswalk Thursday near Eastern and Sahara avenues, according to Metro Police.
The car was headed north on Eastern about 9 p.m. when the 37-year-old Las Vegas woman stepped into the crosswalk at Exley Avenue and was hit, police said.
She was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, police said. Her name was not released, pending notification of family.
The driver remained on scene and cooperated with officers, police said.
