A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and critically injured this morning near the Hard Rock Hotel, according to Metro Police.
The incident happened about 9:15 a.m. in the area of Paradise Road and East Harmon Avenue, police said.
The pedestrian was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with critical injuries, police said.
The westbound lanes of Harmon Avenue have been closed at Paradise Road, police said. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes.
