A preliminary hearing was reset to April 6 for a 23-year-old Nevada state prison inmate facing murder charges in a fight-night slaying last May on the Las Vegas Strip.
DeAngelo Mathews is already serving seven to 12 years in prison for a separate robbery and conspiracy conviction.
His preliminary hearing was rescheduled Thursday in the killing of DaShawn Antwon-Fouch Hawkins of Columbus, Ohio.
A prosecutor and defense attorneys didn't immediately respond to later to messages.
Authorities say the 27-year-old Hawkins died of a head injury after he was knocked unconscious in a pre-dawn fight in the Paris Las Vegas hotel-casino valet area.
The scuffle came several hours after Floyd Mayweather Jr. defeated Manny Pacquiao at the nearby MGM Grand Garden Arena.
