Detectives have identified a suspect in a fatal shooting that stemmed from a fight at a west valley home, according to Metro Police.
Officers were called about 2:30 a.m. Thursday to the 7800 block of Nookfield Drive, near Buffalo Drive and Viking Road, police said.
Officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head, police said. He was taken to University Medical Center, where he later died.
Police today identified Fuyan Liao, 56, as a suspect in the case. A warrant has been issued for his arrest, according to court records.
Police said Liao showed up at the house to meet two people, including the man fatally wounded.
An argument broke out and shots were fired, police said. Liao drove off in a 2009 Infiniti SUV with Nevada plates 712ATZ, police said.
Police described Liao as Asian, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 150 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
The victim will be identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
