A 72-year-old prison inmate died Saturday afternoon at Pershing General Hospital in Lovelock, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections.
Eugene A. Mauwee was serving two life sentences at Lovelock Correctional Center for first-degree murder. He was committed from Washoe County on Jan. 19, 1990.
The Pershing County Sheriff’s Coroner has scheduled an autopsy to determine Mauwee’s cause and manner of death.
