Valentine’s Day in Las Vegas: Where to wine, dine and have a good time

The average person will spend $130 on Valentine’s Day, according to CNN, and more than 150 million cards will be exchanged, placing the holiday second in both categories behind Christmas.

But with seemingly endless options in the Las Vegas Valley, here are some ways to both save and show the love Sunday on Valentine’s Day:

Dining

Andiron Steak & Sea — A $75 Valentine’s Day menu, available only on Sunday, includes baked oysters, arugula salad, prime filet, poached lobster, scallops and black truffle risotto.

Anthony’s Gourmet Burgers & Brews — Featured dishes on the three-course, $30 prix-fixe menu, served from 4 to 10 p.m., include shrimp cocktail, mushroom-crusted beef tenderloin and dark chocolate mousse.

Anthony’s Prime Steak & Seafood — Valentine’s Day menu, served from 5 p.m to 10 p.m. Sunday, features baked spinach and crab gratin, jumbo shrimp, crab cocktail and oysters, lobster bisque, tenderloin steak, kurobuta pork chops, Chilean sea bass, Australian lobster tail and chocolate soufflé, peanut butter pie and chocolate banana.

Aureole Las Vegas — A special four-course Valentine's Day menu, served 5:30-10:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, costs $105 per person with an optional $55 optional wine pairing.

Bazaar Meat by José Andrés — The SLS-based steakhouse offers $150, $200 or $275 four-course special Valentine’s Day menus Sunday, as well as the restaurant’s regular menu.

Brigg’s Oyster Co. — A three-course Valentine’s Day menu, available for $26, will include a choice of lobster bisque or lobster bruschetta followed by seafood paella and crème brulee.

Buddy V’s Ristorante — A $45 Valentine’s Day three-course meal will be served Sunday. It includes such dishes as jumbo lump crab cake, baked potato gnocchi gratin, veal ragu and a chocolate-covered strawberry cake.

California Noodle House — A Valentine’s Day Sweetheart dinner for two costs $40. The meal includes a duck spring roll amuse-bouche, a garden salad topped, a main course of ginger-steamed Onaga and strawberries and cream.

Cortez Room — A $65, four-course Valentine’s Day dinner includes pan-seared scallops, mixed greens with tomatoes or spicy carrot-ginger soup, select filet and shrimp, or strawberry dill-glazed salmon, and crème brulee trio.

db Brasserie — A special four-course Valentine’s Day menu, in place from today to Sunday, costs $65 per person. Available dishes include a ginger sherbet and crispy rice puff, diver scallops, Santa Barbara prawn and lobster tarragon cappuccino, and dark chocolate chiffon.

HEXX Kitchen — A $65 prix fixe menu will be available on Sunday. The meal includes butternut squash soup, apple salad, a choice of roasted filet mignon or a pan-roasted branzino “Provençal” topped with zucchini, eggplant, tomato, basil and rock shrimp, and strawberry panna cotta.

Honey Salt — Valentine’s Day customers can order from a special holiday menu Sunday or the restaurant’s regular menu. For $65, a four-course meal including a butternut squash cappuccino, mushroom risotto, grilled ribeye and scallops is available.

Las Vegas CRUSH — A four-course Valentine's Day meal, available Sunday, includes roasted beets and prosciutto with mediterranean sea bass, grilled sirloin steak and an array of chocolates for dessert.

Morton’s The Steakhouse — A Valentine’s Day “taste of the good life” includes a steak and cold-water lobster for $55, offered from today through Sunday.

Phil's Italian Steakhouse — A $75 four-course Valentine’s Day menu, available from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Feb. 14 includes oysters, crab cakes, lobster chowder, sweet corn, a 12-ounce New York steak and chocolate Coeur a la crème.

Ports O’ Call Buffet — An assortment of Valentine’s Day entrees, including steamed crab legs, golden fried shrimp, jumbo crawfish, chicken cordon bleu, grilled New York steak and Peking duck, is available for $18.

Prime Rib Loft — A $41, four-course Valentine’s Day dinner, served on Sunday, features an asparagus and tomato bruschetta, choice of tomato bisque soup or grilled watermelon salad, cold-water lobster tail and shrimp kabob or New York steak.

Redwood Bar & Grill — A prix fixe dinner for two will be available for $75 on Valentine’s Day. The three-course meal includes a bacon-wrapped scallop appetizer and chicken Roulade, a tender breast of chicken stuffed with king crab accompanied by asparagus and almond rice pilaf. Desert is chocolate-covered strawberries and cream.

Ri Ra — Luxor’s Irish Pub will feature a special Valentine’s Day menu on Sunday, with dishes including $12 baked brie, $25 lobster and mushroom pasta, $33 Filet, $28 prime rib carvery and $7 chocolate truffle cookies.

Ron’s Steakhouse — A $72 three-course dinner menu includes oysters, a choice of filet mignon or lobster tail served with soup or salad, a twice-baked potato, steamed asparagus and white chocolate and raspberry mousse.

Salvatore’s — A selection of Valentine’s Day dishes includes filetto, a prime filet mignon topped with jumbo crab cake, for $46, veal shanks for $33 and chicken trifoliate for $30, all available on Sunday. The restaurant also will be serving from its regular menu.

SC Prime Steakhouse and Bar — The Suncoast’s steakhouse will offer a special prix fixe menu option Sunday for Valentine’s Day. The four-course meal includes bacon and scallop chowder or Sonoma field greens salad, choice of seared lamb loin chateau for $40, seared Alaskan halibut for $46 or grilled 12 oz. filet mignon, shrimp and Portobello mushroom skewer for $52. The meal concludes with a salted caramel vanilla crunch cake.

Seafood Shack — A three-course menu featuring shrimp, twin filet mignons for two, lobster meat and chocolate coeur a la crème will be available from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday for $45 per person. The restaurant will also serve a four-course menu, featuring all of the above and oysters for an additional $10.

Triple 7 Restaurant and Brewery — A raspberry glazed steak and tempura shrimp meal for Valentine’s Day costs $22. The meal, offered Sunday, includes a house salad and complimentary glass of house wine.

Triple George Grill — A $99 four-course prix fixe menu featuring “romance-inspired” dishes will be served 4-10 p.m. Sunday. Plates include lobster “Bisque de Amor,” pear salad, a 28 oz. porterhouse steak and seared scallops.

Performances

Fantasy Luxor — The ladies of Fantasy will put on a “sultry” Valentine’s Day performance at Luxor’s LAX nightclub at 10:30 p.m. Saturday. After the show, the dancers will mix and mingle with fans before performing another number, complemented by vocals of headliner Jaime Lynch.

"Marriage Proposal can be Murder: Would You Kill for a Great Date?" — This date package from the "Marriage can be Murder" show at The D Las Vegas, available for $75, includes a glass of champagne, roses, a box of chocolate, and a three-course meal. Other available packages, including a chance to participate in the show, range from $83 to $117.

Nevada Ballet Theatre’s ­"Cinderella" — The classic love story takes center stage at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets: $29.

Other

Goodwill’s “Dump Your X’s Stuff” — The annual “Anti-Valentine’s Day” donation, running through Sunday, encourages Southern Nevadans to bring unwanted items from ex-partners to one of Goodwill’s 40 donation locations in exchange for a tax write-off.

United Service Organization, Las Vegas — A “Share the Love” outpost at Grand Bazaar Shops’ Grand Allée will be available 5-10 p.m. today through Sunday. Guests can share words of gratitude by writing a note to servicemen and servicewomen who aren’t able to spend Valentine’s Day with their loved ones. Donations to the USO Las Vegas are also welcome and guests who donate at least $10 will receive a $10 shopping voucher to use at Grand Bazaar Shops.
