Pedestrian critically injured near Lake Mead, Rancho

A pedestrian is in critical condition after he was hit near Texas Station around 6:15 p.m. today, police said.

The victim, an adult male, was transported to University Medical Center after the crash at Lake Mead Boulevard and Rancho Drive, North Las Vegas Police Officer Aaron Patty said.

The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with authorities, Patty said.

Lake Mead is closed in both directions between Rancho and Texas Star Lane.
