A man killed a week ago in what Metro Police described as an ongoing fight over money was identified as Michael Allen Guinn, 42.

The shooting was reported about 1:30 p.m. in the front yard of a house in the 2900 block of Kennewick Drive, near Vegas Valley Drive and Mojave Road.

First responders found Guinn struggling to breathe and with a gunshot wound in the upper torso, police said. He died at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.

Also according to police:

The shooting stemmed from an argument between Guinn and a man and a woman about money owed. Some threats were made.

The man and the woman, seen by witnesses coming in and out a gray pickup throughout the day, confronted Guinn in the front yard.

The fatal gunshot was fired from inside the truck before the couple were seen leaving, police said.

Police last week said the woman might have been Guinn's former roommate.

It wasn't immediately clear today if investigators were able to speak with her or the man.
