Two people were taken into custody today after a woman reported being held captive at a home near Cheyenne Avenue and Fort Apache Road, according to Metro Police.
The woman contacted police about 5:45 a.m. and said she was able to escape and seek help from a neighbor, authorities said.
SWAT officers subsequently searched the home, and a man and woman were taken into custody, police said. The woman was arrested at the scene, and the man was arrested after he fled and got into another home, police said.
“When that suspect fled, he jumped from many yards and many rooftops and then made his way into a residence,” Officer Jesse Roybal said.
The incident remains under investigation.
