Wrong-way driver on U.S. 95 arrested on DUI count in crash

A wrong-way driver who crashed into three vehicles late Thursday on northbound U.S. 95 near Ann Road, injuring two people, has been arrested on suspicion of DUI.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol:

The wrong-way driver was taken to University Medical Center after the crash, which happened about 11:30 p.m., with non-life-threatening injuries. The man, who has not been identified, later was arrested.

An elderly woman also suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Medical personnel took her home and observed her after the crash.

The highway was closed in both directions for several hours.
