A fire broke out this morning at a boarded-up house downtown, according to Las Vegas Fire & Rescue.
Fire crews were called about 11:30 a.m. to the 1000 block of 5th Place, near East Charleston Boulevard and Las Vegas Boulevard South, where flames could be seen on the roof and at the back of the single-story house, fire department spokesman Tim Szymanski said.
No injuries were reported, he said.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control within 10 minutes, he said.
A neighbor reported homeless people are frequently at the house, but investigators have not confirmed that’s the case, he said.
The cause of the fire and a damage estimate have not yet been determined, Szymanski said.
