A 26-year-old man is dead after his motorcycle overturned just after midnight Saturday.
According to Metro Police:
Officers responded about 12:35 a.m. to the area of South Dean Martin Drive, north of West Flamingo Road.
A 2015 Suzuki GSXR 750 motorcycle was traveling south on Dean Martin when it overturned onto its left side, then slid over the west curb, causing the rider to strike the base of a light pole. He was taken to University Medical Center, where he later died.
This is the third traffic-related fatality in Metro's jurisdiction for 2016.
The crash remains under investigation.
