Fatal crash
Two people killed Sunday when their sport utility vehicle crashed off a North Las Vegas overpass have been identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office as Rocky Dewayne Dean, 52, of Las Vegas and Belinda Ann West, 58, of North Las Vegas.
Officers responded to the single-vehicle crash about 11:30 a.m. Sunday where Carey Avenue crosses over Interstate 15 near Losee Road, according to North Las Vegas Police.
Dean was speeding east on Carey when he lost control of the SUV, which fell about 27 feet off the overpass, police said.
Dean and West, a passenger, were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
