Authorities temporarily closed part of U.S. 95 this morning after a woman threatened to jump from the Lone Mountain Road overpass, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The freeway was closed between Craig and Ann roads for a little more than an hour starting about 6:50 a.m., officials said.
“Traffic was really backed up,” Highway Patrol Trooper Jason Buratczuk said.
The woman, in her 30s, eventually was brought to safety without incident, Buratczuk said. She was transported to a local hospital.
