Nevada No. 9 in WalletHub analysis of best states for retirees

Las Vegas’ warm, sunny weather isn’t the only perk luring seniors to the Silver State.

A WalletHub analysis determined Nevada is the 9th best state for retirees based on metrics including affordability, quality of life and health care.

Nevada scored well in affordability and quality of life, thanks to lower taxes and plentiful entertainment options, which contributed to its high overall ranking.

The five best states for retirees, in order, are Florida, Wyoming, South Dakota, South Carolina and Colorado, according to WalletHub.

The analysis determined Rhode Island is the worst state.
