Body found in desert near northwest valley construction site

A man’s body was found with gunshot wounds this morning in the northwest valley, Metro Police said.

A man walking through the desert near a construction site discovered the body about 10 a.m. west of Cliff Shadows Parkway and Lone Mountain Road, Officer Laura Meltzer said. The person who called the police met officers to lead them to the body, she said.

No additional details were immediately available.
