Fire spreads from palm trees to Las Vegas house; 3 hospitalized

Three people were hospitalized after a fire in a pair of palm trees spread to the attic of a house before it was brought under control, according to Las Vegas Fire & Rescue officials.

Two people were being treated for smoke inhalation and one for chest pain, fire officials said.

The fire was reported about 3:30 p.m. in the 5000 block of Churchill Avenue, near Decatur Boulevard and Meadows Lane, and took about 20 minutes to bring under control, officials said.
