A car crash has destroyed an iconic "Welcome to Fabulous Downtown Las Vegas" sign.
A Facebook video taken by a bystander Sunday morning shows a crashed pickup truck and the decimated sign.
In the video, the truck's rear is stuck on top of a large rock.
Police said the crash occurred at about 6:50 a.m. The wreckage of both car and sign were hauled away by 10 a.m.
The sign, located at 4th Street and Las Vegas Boulevard, is less recognized than the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" landmark sign near McCarran International Airport.
Police said that it doesn't appear the driver was impaired and that the crash remains under investigation.
The downtown sign has been on display since 2002.
